This conference is of great significance to the technological development of laser cleaning applications. The China Laser Cleaning Application Demonstration Center was officially established at the event. In-depth discussions were held on the future development of laser cleaning technology, with the focus placed on research into laser cleaning mechanisms and cleaning processes. It will advance technical research and equipment R&D in areas such as surface condition evaluation and detection after cleaning, on-line monitoring of the cleaning process, and standardized assessment of cleaning effects, facilitate the formulation of laser cleaning standards, and prioritize solving practical engineering application problems of laser cleaning equipment. It will also boost the application of laser cleaning equipment in the environmental protection sector and build a domestically advanced platform for laser cleaning research and application.

In 2018, the annual market sales volume of laser cleaning equipment was expected to reach 400 to 500 units, mainly used for rust removal and grease elimination in the processing of mechanical and electronic parts, as well as rapid deburring of mechanical workpieces. Laser cleaning is set to gradually replace traditional cleaning methods and is expected to become the mainstream cleaning and processing technology in the foreseeable future. Based on research into laser cleaning mechanisms, technologies and processes, the Center focuses on the R&D and application of complete laser cleaning equipment and its key components. It aims to further promote the popularization and application of intelligent laser cleaning, drive the transformation and upgrading of the industrial cleaning industry, and advance Suzhou’s industrial economy toward an environmentally friendly, energy-saving and high-efficiency development path.
