Introduction

Laser polishing equipment uses a fiber laser beam to polish workpieces. Adopting an integrated monolithic structure, the equipment produces no chemical pollution and negligible operating noise. It features high efficiency, long service life and low maintenance requirements, greatly saving labor and energy consumption.

As a new type of material surface treatment technology developed alongside laser technology, laser polishing irradiates the workpiece with a laser beam of specific energy density and wavelength. This forms a thin molten or vaporized layer on the workpiece surface to achieve a smooth finish.

Laser polishing fundamentally solves the surface processing difficulties of workpieces with complex shapes and profiles that traditional polishing techniques can hardly handle or cannot address at all. It enables automated processing and is therefore regarded as a promising advanced material processing technology.
